Title: Processing audio from a concert recorded with a Zoom H4n?
Post by: draugrats on January 15, 2011, 02:48:09 PM
So I recorded a concert last night and I need some help processing the audio. I recorded 24/48; here's a link to 128k mp3 (http://fjchapman.com/STE-003.mp3).

Skip ahead to 1:45 and you'll hear the right signal break up and buzz. How can I fix this? Are there any other ways I can generally improve audio recorded from a concert like this? Any settings I should change on the zoom for future recordings?

Do I need to stretch/shrink the audio at all to sync with 24fps video?

Thanks for your help!

Seems like you're running the input levels too hot for the signal. I notice you have a lot of samples which are at 0dB (full digital scale) which makes it so their peaks are cut off. Try turning down your record levels.
