I've accidently deleted a file from a compact flsh on a micro track24/96. I guess I'm buggered, yes? Any help would be MUCH appreciated, Bob

If you deleted the file and stopped, then probably the data file is there, it's just "turned off" and the utilities may be able to "turn it back on" which makes them magical recovery tools.
If you deleted the file and then started recording another session onto that card, it probably started writing the new data into the memory locations that were used by the old file... at which point the old data is unrecoverable.

We have not recorded anything else on the flash card, knowing our best bet for recovery would be if we didn't write anything over the last recording. That said we haven't found any downloads that are really free for recovering deleted files. Evidently the download is free but then you have to pay to have them to decrypyt it. What a load! I'm still looking for totally free download to retreive last file recorded(Jack Bruce with Tony Williams tribute band), I've seen that all the files appear to be showing up but no access 'till they're paid off. Thanks for response. Bob and Melanie

Was going to recommend DiskDigger, but I see it's no longer free.
