Seems like there's a lot of variation in price over here.
Anyone know a good seller under £270?

You will probably save a few bucks if you order it from the states. Sorry I didn't answer your question.

True, but I'm hoping to avoid the dreaded VAT when bringing anything of value into the country.

£269 from Thomann:

Agree, VAT is a drag, huge price difference compared to $220. Find a friend going to the US...

I bought mine from the states via eBay.com. Seller wouldn't ship to the UK so I had it shipped to a mate within the USA who then forwarded it on to me. Package arrived within two weeks without being stopped. Cost me less than £200. If you don't mind taking a risk with eBay try the .com site as well as .co.uk, seems to bring up different results.
Good luck.

Always works the best, irrespectively of which top domain you tack on.

I bought mine from the states and had someone ship it over when they were silly money here.
A friend of mine got theirs from pinknoise systems a couple of months ago for about £260 including the (overpriced) sony windscreen. It's not on their site now but might be worth giving them a call/email.
