so the recordings I just made with my new to me 744 have a real bad clicking noise in them, definitely hd noise of some sort.
my 722 would do but stop after a few seconds.it's almost nonstop on my mike gordon tapes from sunday?anybody else have
this problem,if so what was the fix?thanks
Do you have a sample recording of the problem?
That is WEIRD Mark?!
Can you recreate it via both line in and mic in (even with nothing connected)?
yes it's an issue line or mic in.talked to jesse at SD today.he said to be sure and lock the word clock but I must be stupid
cause I'm not seeing that option.I also reset it to factory settings like he said and went back in and set things the way
I need it.lastnight I also downloaded the latest firmware and did the update and afterwards did a 5 minute test recording
and didn't have it happen.
I'm getting ready to go eat then I'm going to do another test recording and let it run a while and see what happens before
I move further, also looking into this HD swap deal but damn.
edit:don't have a sample sorry but it's a steady..tickticktickticktick..tick tick..ticktickticktick.tick tick..

It's sounds just like this:

are the serial numbers of your 722 & 744 in the affected range? and if so, has the A/D board been replaced? If this is the issue, it's a simple fix.
461107 is the start of my serial # so doubt it but I will give jesse a call back and see what he thinks of this
and also get a direct email to send him the link to hear for himself.I hope it's something simple.
