OK, looks cool, but when are they going to come out with the 8030 figure-8 mic?  A figure-8 would really be useful.

This is pretty new too.  I think it's the first LD from Sennheiser.  I thought I read it was chinese made.

The last bullet on the page you linked states "Made In Germany"

Of course that doesn't mean much these days.

Yup - saw this a year go.  The official launch of the 8060 short gun and 8070 long gun will be at NAB in a couple of weeks and I think for delivery immedialely after the show.

And a wide-cardioid!

I have been saying to them for 5 years that a fig-8 is urgently needed.  Seems they decided to do the gun capsules first.  :(
