Title: FASTEST ENCODER/DECODER/TRANSCODER?

Hi folks. After 7 years of using a single core machine running XP, I've finally made the big jump to Win7 Professional, AMD Phenom quad-core 3.4GHZ, 16gb ram, 120gb SSD etc.
What tool can I get that will make full use of all this horsepower for converting between various audio formats?
Also, are there versions of flac, ogg etc. which are optimized for 64-bit multicore machines?
