Title: Sony PCM-D50 Mod Question
Post by: Kyle on May 05, 2011, 11:24:05 AM
I have a feeling I know the answer t this, but would it be possible to remove the optical input and replace it with a coaxial input? I run the Sonic AD2K+ and I just need a deck to write data and to seamless filesplits, and my Tascam HD-P2 is large and a pain to keep hauling around. i have read in a thread around here somewhere the the Marantz PMD-661 does almost seamless file splits (apparently it drops a few samples) but i also heard somewhere that that may have been fixed via a firmware upgrade. So if anyone has info to my inquires I would be most appreciative.  Thank you!

The 661 seems like the best option if you want a Digicoax!
