just got one of the JB3 and it's ok, not as sturdy feeling as the archos and seems like a bit of a hassel (in comparrision to the iriver and Archos) to navigate.
I DL the newest driver and the newest file manager, and updated the firmware fine, but when I click on the JB3 icon in my computer the window that pops up is empty and I can't find any file that are on the unit.
Shouldn't there be files for music and playlist and recordings?
trying here and nomadness, but you guys are much smarter ;D
this frickin thing is frustrating the hell out of me
edit: I'm running into my computer via usb2.0
is this the issue?

Do yourself a favor and check out the Redchair Software trial for Notmad Explorer. Integrates fully into Windows Explorer. Try it and I'll bet you'll be convinced it's worth the $20.

googlin that now..
this should make me able to access the files on the jb3?

If I recall, vaguely, you need to "connect" the JB3 to the PC and *then* fire up PlayCenter. But regardless, the PlayCenter s/w is a complete POS.
No matter, Notmad Explorer is sooooooo much better you'll jump all over it. Go to rechairsoftware.com and you'll find the trial download. I think they have a link to it over on nomadness.net, too.

Dunno about listening, I haven't tried it. I always transfer to my PC and master/listen from there. Transfer takes all of about 4min for a 3 hr show. :)
