Just got a new pair of KRK RP6's.....They sound smokin......next up new soundcard...  >:D   OOK

I have the VXT4's.  Absolutely love the KRK line.  Check out the HT Omega Claro cards.

Thanks man.....I was looking for some possible sound cards... I need PCIe....PCI won't work.  looks like they have one card I can use.

I was also looking at the asus sonar essence stx

I like the 1212 because it has balanced outs....the asus card has incredible specs...but it looks like the eCarlo card is right up there......decisions, decisions.

Xonar Essence it top notch too.  I considered that one as well.  Opted for the Claro, because I scored a used one on eBay for a great price.

Now I realize everytime you change something in your sounds system your ears need to adjust but could it really be that dramatic...

So I went with the E-mu1212 card.... it is super clean sounding. Balanced outs.  Now I am a little confused.  My speakers don't exactly sound bassless but they aren't producing the bass like the stock sound card.  I don't have any card/program eq'ing or roll off going on.. could be because it is so clean that i am not use to it.  Could it be i was use to hearing distortion thinking it was bass... ???

Figured it out....had to change some send and return settings.... all seems right now...
