Post by: beatkilla on June 22, 2011, 01:50:19 PM
What are you resizing with?Just curious to see better results.ive been using Virtual Dub 64.First upsampling to from  1080i to 1080p in  yadif mode then resize to standard definition with Lanczos3 algohorithm.Would Bicubic be any better and what to use 0.60 or 0.75 or 1.00?this particular footage has lots and lots of fine detail(jewelry)

I'm curious about this, too.  I'm not at all happy with the results I'm getting by the time my 1080i footage gets to SD DVD.

Well using virtual dub or avisynth to  upscale to 1080p using a bob deinterlace and then resize using lanczos3 gives amazing results.I was just curious if anyone was using precise bicubic instead of lanczos3.
