Hey kids,
I have approximately 500 MP3s that I need to edit ID3 tags for. I have a spreadsheet that contains columns for each MP3's filename and what each tag should be for each file. Is there any app that can take an excel spreadsheet and use it's data to tag MP3s? Any input would be greatly appreciated. (and will save me countless hours of doing these by hand...)

Media Monkey will look them up over the interwebs.
Not sure how much needs to be tagged in advance or how it does it. (ie it may only be able to tag song titles by the album name).
It's free so you can always give it a try.

Thanks for the input, but there won't be info on these via interwebs... Unique collection that I personally transferred from transcription discs. Doesn't exist anywhere else.

In Foobar you can tag files from something on you put in your clipboard. First copy out of Excel the track names > Highlight tracks to tag in FOOBAR > Right Click > Properties > Tools > Auto Fill Tracks > Source (choose clipboard: line per track > then I use a pattern of %title%.
I use this all the time when Foobar won't auto fill in the information from a .txt file. I just copy the song title out and use the above process.
Hope this helps!

xACT can tag from a text file, so you could copy in the necessary titles, and go from there.

mp3tag takes a txt file and tags files, not exactly ideal for your situation with spreadsheets but an option if you don't find what you want.

i could probably make something for you that'd read the info and tag the files. probably wouldn't take more than a half hour for me to do
