Title: File-writing problem R-09HR
Post by: Hman on July 19, 2011, 05:43:30 AM
Hi there,

Last night I taped the Black Crowes at Paradiso, Amsterdam.
After the first set I discovered my R09HR was turned off.. :S
When I started it up again, 'No Card' was lighting. So I guess there has been a Write-Error or something.
After that I changed battery's and recorded the 2nd set without any problems.

But.. the File is now indicating as '1 second'.
When I started recording File 2 I saw the recorder already wrote ~55min. on the SD-card.
So did the recorder actually saved the recorded part??
And if so, is there way the still save it??

Sounds like the wave header got corrupted.  I think the R09HR has a file repair function that works on this type of problem.  Can't recall which menu it is in.

Ok, thanks!
But can this problem be repaired within the R09HR?
Or should I run a copy of the file in a little program I found here on ts.com:  fixwav

In the Finder-menu you have to select the corrupted track and then select 'repair'..

Yes - that's one of the great (and I think unique) things about the R-09HR in that it has this built-in repair function that other inexpensive recorders don't.
