Title: Ripping Discs securely with foobar2k?
Post by: newplanet7 on August 12, 2011, 10:46:59 PM
If I am ripping a disc to wav I use EAC configured with my disc drive.
However, I was wondering if anyone has done the same with foobar2000?
I just noticed they also have the read/write offset set-up.
I may screw around with it and try it out. Check if there are any audible artifacts and whatnot.
I have more confidence in that EAC would provide more of a precise rip but, what the hell.
FOOBAR IS THE TITS. You must admit, for a small freeware package. Straight fire.
Been using it for years, just never for ripping.
Funny thing is, I am always finding new stuff that fb2k can do that I had no idea it could when I first used it.

Just pondering.........

Bueller........

Tried it and seems to work. It's a lot faster too.
Granite I'll still use EAC because I'm more comfy with it but, foobar is nice.
