Title: anyone using the AudixM1245's???
Post by: mikebosold on March 02, 2004, 11:46:51 AM
Just saw these on the daleproaudio site and they look sweet!  Tiny yet good quality I've heard.  About $250 each- might be a good upgrade for me from my OK AT822.  I'm running a D8 with it and prolly will keep it.  Has anyone used these?  I would love to hear what they sound like.  Are there any other mics that are in the same price  range and of smaller size?  Not a huge stealther but I like the size of those Audix, wouldn't want much bigger...
thanks
mike

The M1245s are pretty neat.  They are tiny, full body condenser mics at a great price.  But, their low end frequency response is not as full ranged as their brother mic, the M1290.  The M1290 is also a little longer, but still tiny compared to most any other mic.
There are a couple of people on this list who run the M1290s.  I ran them once also and was completely impressed with the results.
I am sure you can find some samples of them.

Thanks Phil for the info.  I would like to hear anything with either the 1245's or the 1290's for a 'taste test'.    Any more info on this would be greatly appreciated.
