Title: Sony M10 intermittent single channel static on playback...
Post by: yousef on October 05, 2011, 04:47:30 PM
My m10 seems to have developed a strange intermittent issue...

On the last two occasions that I've taped with it (last night and four nights previously), when I get home and try to listen back, there is a horrible static-y sound coming through the right channel. The sound isn't on the recording and is also present when using the internal speaker. It seems to resolve when I shut the machine down and turn back on again but I do find it concerning that it happens at all.

Any thoughts? Or has anyone else experienced anything similar?

When the problem is present it also affects the internal speaker so I think the issue is prior to the headphone socket.
