Title: fixing a loose AT shockmount
Post by: thoman8r on March 05, 2004, 01:40:40 PM
An AT 8410 shockmount I have has become loose where the mount meets the hinge.  I seem to remember someone posting a way to fix this but I can't find it in the archives.  Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Dave

some screwtite on that inside screw should work (i think thats the name of the stuff.  it just goes on the threads to add some friction)

I actually broke my right in that same spot, and permanently welded it together w/ JB Weld.   It's easy to use and you can get it at the Home Depot in the adhesives section.

I had the same problem again that I originally posted on. JB weld and a longer screw seems to have fixed it. Might work for you as well!!!!

Hell yeah, I fixed mine w/ JB Weld a couple of years ago and it's still fixed.
