Title: How to use Waves Plug-ins w/ SF 6.0?
Post by: BC on March 06, 2004, 07:37:47 PM
Hi all,

I've been trying to dither down some 24 bit stuff using the waves plug in in SF 6.0 and have a few questions.

1) First, I load the L2 plug in in the SF plug-in viewer. Then I have it set to level 1, ultra, and 16 bit. When I press the "process" button, SF applies some kind of processing to the wave that takes a few minutes, but the bit depth is still listed as 24 bit on the wave window afterwards. What am I doing wrong here?

2) Is there a way I can completely remove the compressor from the chain if I all i want to do is dither down to 16 bit?

3) Can waves resample from 48KHz to 44.1 KHz?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Ben

1) You have to change the bit depth on the file manually, I believe.
2) Yes, use the "dither requantizer" (or something like that) setting and choose your bit depth.
3) No.
