i'm using the Octava spring loaded factory clips that the mc012 uses. gives u a couple diff options with out having to mod or getto anything. these mounts hold freaking tight and leave no marks on the caps or the KC ends. for a wider split, just take the shaft from the vark bar and run it from mount to mount and slide it into the shure. pretty pumped with this set up. ed

Very nice! I am about to pick up a vark bar myself to do exactly this. :)

I have a Vark Bar already, but where can I purchase those Oktava clips ??? Its a helluva lot more sturdy than my SGC's on my Vatrk Bar :P

got them on ebay. he want 30 $ each, but PM'ed on his best price for 2 and got them for 50 bucks. went to him because he always has the stuff and carries the black ones. they hold so good u can push your cap out far enough for wind screens without a prob. ed

just the mounts and a 5/8th > 3/8th adapter. or any 5/8th's all thread that works, but most peeps have those adapters. if u need a wider spread u can use the vark bar shaft, or easily make something. BTW, these Octava mounts were bought for akg 460's. they make no marks, and fit great. ed
