Title: Decentralized Tracking?
Post by: cashandkerouac on November 29, 2011, 04:50:13 PM
every time i try to upload/seed a show at http://www.planetrocklosslessbootlegs.com i get an error message about "decentralized tracking".  i'm pretty sure that the message tells me to disable decentralized tracking, but there is no info about how to do that or why that site requires it.  i've never encountered this problem at etree, dime, trader's den, etc.  can anyone shed some light on decentralized tracking for me?  thanks.

When you create your torrent do you see anything referring to DHT?  If so try unchecking it.  DHT creates a Distributed Hast Table which facilitates decentralized tracking.  Good luck!

Go to Preferences off the uTorrent menu, select the BitTorrent category and uncheck DHT and PEX.  I am not sure if this will help with creating a DHT-less torrent or if it only applies to uTorrent as a client.  It's worth a shot.  Good luck!
