Hi Team,
(and Xmas Greetings from Scotland!)
just been playing about with a DR 07 which is new out of the box today.
I successfully recorded a few things today including a 20 minute take where I went for a walk about outside. This evening I had a crack at a 24/96 take of a crackling fire. When I finished, I went back to have a look at the footage and it had gone. Next track increments as if it was still there but it's not; so the machine "remembers" recording the file but doesn't have it any more...
Are DR 07s renowned for losing the occasional take?? Is this a known issue or unheard of...?
Thanks
JimP

I have used a DR-07 for a couple years and I never had that happen. Did you try taking the card out of the recorder and putting it in a card reader?

I use this also, and have never had an issue... You may want to format your card first in the menu settings. Just a thought ;)

What machine are you using the DR7 (old model) or the Dr-mk2 (new with 24/96)
had the old one it sucked every memcard with no issues .. maybe the dropped track is a sign of a bad card.
If you hadn't formatted the card yet, maybe the recording is stil on it, just the Wave Header is crushed so the recorder doesn't "see" it, or just drops corrupt file messages.
use http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=72936.0 for fix that file.
