Title: Mac Playback?

I'm looking for a way to play back 24/96 from my powerbook... i know the vxpocket doesnt go that high and the ua-5 resamples as it goes...what do people suggest?

what would you use on a windows laptop?  you can probably use the same here

m-audio stuff, egosys, multiset, etc

not sure!  ill have the ua-5 but i know that resamples... really would prefer if my d/a would do the resampling

you know i dont know.  i guess a viable option for me would be the mini DAC and then i wouldnt have to worry about it at all

you could use an EMI 2/6. I am using it with my ibook for a few days without any problems

is it capable of handling 24/96 cleanly over usb?

for what it's worth I was reading in the newest edition of mac Addict that there is a firwire chip upgrade that is comming that will allow for 24/96 7.1 stereo output over the firewire.

I havnet tried it. I'll try recording @ 24/96 and let you know.
