Title: Mytek Stereo 192 > (optical out) > Sony D50
Post by: stober on January 14, 2012, 02:42:28 PM
I tried this last night for the first time and got an error message on the D50 stating " unknown data"... anyone else ever sent a digi signal from a mytek to a d50? Hoping mytek has a updated firmware available .. :-\

Yeah the optical out is standard now on all the new units as well as spdif and AES. I believe the one I have is a little over a year old.

It is a Mytek problem not a Sony problem. Sony invented the spdif standard. My usbpre 2 did not output properly to my d50.
I notified Sound Devices and they made it right with a firmware update.
