Downloaded the Samplitude Pro X trail and using it's restoration tools to clean up a soundboard tape. I'm looking to apply the effects only on the damaged areas of the tape without altering the remaining material on the tracks. I'm sure this is possible, just haven't figured it out yet. I've gotten familiar with the program, just looking for suggestions on how to go about doing this.

I'm not familiar with the restoration tools, but if they're applied similar to other effects (and that's a big IF), it should be as simple as importing the audio into a VIP, splitting the sections to which you want to apply restoration into individual objects, and then applying restoration only to the desired objects.
