Title: Anyone try using Garage band for recording on the mac?
Post by: RRobar on March 11, 2004, 02:07:28 PM
Just wondering. I got the iLife with Garage Band bundle with my iBook and I see it will allow you to record from a source if you set the device in the system preferences. I'm going to play tonight using the UA-1D and my D8. I figure I have it so lets see what it will do. I thought I'd see if any fellow mac taping geeks have tried.

Nope, it's limited to 16/44.1, so I'm sticking with Spark.

Yeah, I figured that out last night when it would not take the signal from a 48 kHz DAT I had plugged in. Oh well, It's such a cool looking program. I guess when I start my techno career I'll play with it  ;)

I guess, I'll have to kick down for spark.

My girlfriend has Garage Band and I played with it all last weekend while she was at classes.. So much fun and you can quickly make up some pretty fun songs with their samples.

Great time killer ;D
