Title: LMA New Band Page
Post by: mec111272 on January 30, 2012, 11:00:53 AM
In my travels I taped a band Saturday night, they are not set up on the LMA.  They sent over an email to the powers that be.

For my own edification what is the general process for setting up a new band?  I read the FAQ and have a general idea but:

How long does it take until I can upload to their page?

Are pages customizable by the band,  add a few pics, update band info..... etc.

Thanks

Have the band email etree@archive.org. Or if the band has given you permission, the mods will take a forwarded email.

It usually takes a few days for the band to get added.

Yes the band can provide photos, logo, bios, etc.

This article is my pitch to bands to sign up for the archive.

We set up the band pages at the LMA in weekly shifts, as time allows. So it could be same day, could be a week. Usually if stuff spills over into the next week because someone gets too busy, the next guy will clean it up. What's the band so I can make sure we got the email?

Relative Souls,  Bridgeport CT

He is excited about the prospect.  They seem to be opening for Funk-Jam bands the come around,  taper-friendly could work out well for them.

Thanks for your help! They killed Sister Sparrow Sat. night.

Just saw that John (ziko on here) got them set up last night - looks like they're good to go!
