Berklee College of Music has extensive (and expensive) online courses:

http://www.berkleemusic.com/music-production (http://www.berkleemusic.com/music-production)

They call their course "music production" rather than "audio engineering".

I scan all the community night school programs, hoping that somebody will come up with a "How to Get The Most Out Of Wavelab (or another audio editor)" course.  Not much chance I guess...might be only me in the class. ;D

Check these two out, they may be the sort of thing you're looking for:

'Live Sound Reinforcement', Stark, Scott Hunter, ISBN: 9780918371072
'Sound Reinforcement Handbook', Davis, Gary, and Ralph Jones, ISBN: 0881889008

Here is another good book:
http://www.amazon.com/Working-Audio-Stanley-R-Alten/dp/1435460553/ref=pd_ybh_9

Working with Audio by Stanley R. Alten  ($26.67)
Paperback: 357 pages
Publisher: Course Technology PTR; 1 edition (September 15, 2011)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 1435460553
ISBN-13: 978-1435460553

This book has nearly identical content to a university level textbook by Alten which costs several hundred dollars.

Any idea how much cred their certificates are given? How much is expensive? How much for a Master Cert?

Im doing recording engineering and live sound and lighting degrees right now.  Don't see how you could do these classes online unless you have a lot of gear yourself.  Lots of hands on stuff.

More likely to find a how to use pro tools class

Yeah, if I can't find a Wavelab class I would settle for that.  How about you, Bean? :D
