Title: AKG C451EB question.
Post by: ts on March 18, 2012, 03:37:56 PM
What's the diff between the 451EB and the 452EB? The 451 can run on 12V or 9-52V phantom and the 452 needs full 48V phantom? Therefore I can run 451's>SD mix pre set on 15V and get much better battery life on the SD.

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the requirement for full 48V phantom for the 452.

Darby beat me to it while I was typing ....

Cool. So I can run my SD type pre (actually a Shure FP24) on the 15 volt setting and get better run times on the two internal AA's. My new compact rig using internal power: JWmod AKG 451 EB's>Shure FP24>Tascam DR-2D. 8)
