Schoeps and Illusonic (http://"http://www.illusonic.com/") just released a new plug-in for Double MS surround decoding (http://www.schoeps.de/en/products/dms_plugin_bf). It's free.
If you're already familiar with Schoeps original DMS decoder plug-in (http://"http://www.schoeps.de/en/products/dms_plugin"), the new decoder plug-in features greater spatial resolution (as if the recording was done with 2nd or 3rd order microphones) and sound field manipulations like array rotation.
As an aside, it's possible to use DMS decoders with Ambisonic B-Format if the B-format signal is beforehand transcoded to DMS. I've just made such a transcoder: it's a VST and AU plug-in, Mac OS only (http://"http://www.radio.uqam.ca/ambisonic/b2dms_transcoder.zip"). It's a SonicBirth-made plug-in, so you'll also need to install the SonicBirth framework (http://"http://www.radio.uqam.ca/ambisonic/sonicbirth_fw_1.3.1b2.zip").

how well might this work for a standard m-s plugin?
