Casio Professional DA-R100 Portable DAT Recorder/Player

I was not aware that Casio made a portable DAT recorder/player.  I saw a used  one with low hours for $100 and was wondering if it was worth it. I'm more of a "you get what you pay for" type person and need some info.  Thanks in advance.

It's probably 10 years old at this point, and the assumption would be if it breaks, you are screwed.  That said, I used a denon dtr-80p many many moons ago, and it worked qwuite well for awhile.  Of course, as I anticipated, it broke and I ended up selling it for parts in the end.  I would get a used d7/8 instead, or better yet, a JB3.

low hours

Now that I know this thing is 10 yrs old, I can pretty much throw that out the window.  I guess low means less than 8,000 hrs. :)
