Title: Recorders with "Peak Hold" readout
Post by: Jhurlbs81 on April 25, 2012, 05:52:26 PM
Curious what recorders allow you to constantly display the peak level of your recording (up to that point) ?

I always loved this feature on my AD2k+, the ability to leave your rig and come back to it and see what the peak level has been for each channel was always extremely helpful information to get.  (Not just an "over hold" like the V3) It seems like this would be so easy to implement with software based decks.   I'm currently using the Sony M-10 and it always shows you the two digit numerical readout to the right of the meter, how awesome if there was an option to change the logic and have it show the peak input to that point in the recording instead.  It seems so pointless to have that tell you the current level when you can just look at the meter.

Am I alone here on this one?  I guess if you've never had this option you don't know what you're missing, and I can do just fine without it, but I do miss the feature.

What say you TS?

Yeah I wish the M10 did that
