I'm quite happy with the Tascam DR-40, I use it with a matched pair of C2 condensers, and get about 5 hours recording time with phantom power on with a set of Eneloop re-chargeables.

Depends on your budget
~$250 = tascam dr-100mkii
~$400 = used tascam hd-p2
~$500 = used modded tascam hd-p2
~$750 = used Roland r-44
~$1350 = used sd702
~$1700 = used sd722
~$2900 = used sd744t
~$3500 = tascam hs-p82
~$6000 = sonosax sx-r4
~$6500 = aeta 4minx
These are the decks I'd look at and the prices I have seen

If you can find a used fostex FR-2LE you should check into it.
Great all in one with p48 and quiet clean pre amps. They were going for pretty cheap.

^^ This, especially over any of the cheap tascams (but I don't trust the tascams, ymmv). :P
The there are three things I didn't like about the fr2-le when I had one; no spdif in/out, no word clock in/out, and it didn't split files, so it was 4gb and restart. These are minor quibbles, and if those features aren't important, it's really attractive on the used market.

That's interesting, I'm really thinking about one of these recorders for my Nevaton MCE400's. What record level do you use with the C2's?

Marantz Professional PMD661 (http://usa.d-mpro.com/us/denon/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?CatId=AudioRecordingandPlayback&SubCatId=HandheldandPortableRecorders&ProductId=PMD661) would meet OP need nicely. It looks like your DPA 4011C's are a low current draw (2.8 mA) each.

H2O, why no marantz recorders? I don't have any marantz products, I'm curious if you have a reason for steering clear of them

I am just pointing out the recorders I'd be interested in (based off reviews here) or have used and liked in the past (HD-P2, 702)
I haven't used the marantzs but looking at the specs and appearance I am not as impressed with the marantz products though - plus no recent updates to there line.
I feel the same about fostex - but these are my opinions.
I would have put in the DR-680 but all horror stories keeps me questioning that recorder.
I also didn't list the 788t as I would lean heavily towards the Aeta and then Sonosax at that price point.
