Howdy to all.
Haven't been on here in a dogs age (or more). For that matter - haven't pushed a "record button" in quite some time. In fact - long enough that I may be looking to turn my un-used rigs into CASH.
Just curious what this stuff might be worth. Have a few friends to call and see if they want "first dibs" - so it's not going up in "yard sale" yet...
744T Mint Condition - upgraded to 120GB - current firmware
Male & Female I/O cables XLR-to-Mini - Clink Cable
2 X 7800mAh (big) Batteries
Power Supply
Original Box & Manual
Matched Pair TLM-170's - Mint Condition - Nuemann Shock Mounts (frikkin $350 ea. shock mounts).
Grace Lunatech V3 - Optical Upgrade
Ton of misc cables, adapters, splitters, etc.
Always bagged - never dropped...
Here's the big one - wish I actually still had a chance to use this...
Alesis ADAT HD24 - 10 Drive Cradles - about 6 with Drives Mounted - Alesis Drive/Computer Interface
3 X Presonus Digimax LT's
Lucid Technologies GenX192 Studio Clock
In Georgia Case 8U Shock Mount Case
Whirlwind Custom Snake Splitter Rig
20" with 6' Split Snake Splitter - 24 Channels XLR to High Density Connector
3 X Whirlwind SPC-82 ISO Splitters
12' High Density Cable (from snake box to record box)
In Rolling 10U Georgia Case
(this was the mobile rig I was using when I was managing The Codetalkers).
Also have a buttload of Audix Mics - including a DP-Elite 8 Drum Kit, 4 X I5's, 3 X OM-6's, 2 X D8's
And my CD-Live Mastering Rig - Tascam RW900SL & TC Finalizer Express (in case)...
Whew - we gear slutz amass a lot of stuff through the years...
Before I put this up in Yard Sale or EBay, just wanted to say hello and post my inventory list...
Folks like SpyderDan, Steve Kwartin (who borrowed my 744 last weekend) and a number of other TSection brothers have seen my rigs, and know me well enough to know every piece is pristine, well maintained and stored..
Need to contact: sickrick09@me.com - or any number of folks have my phone number (still the same after all these years)...
Regards to all...
Rick
edit: and after posting, realized my whole list is in my frikkin SIG...

Man, that'a lot of expensive gear! Probably get you a new car or something if you sell it all.

Actually - pretty close there. New Tractor Trailer Rig is on the menu. Well, not right away...
Getting ready to make some major lifestyle/career changes.
I'm something of a packrat - so there's a lot of stuff I just couldn't (psychologically) bear to part with. But, the prospect of going from a 3/2/2-car garage, to renting a room from someone and hitting the road - means I gotta "pare down" my material possessions.
I've got about $18K into everything on the list, probably end up going for roughly 1/2 of that.
So - the rig(s) must go...

744 - $3000-3200
V3 - $850
That is what I believe what those two units have been going for lately. If I am wrong, someone else chime in. The rest of the gear, I can't comment on. Good luck with the career change.

My take on it:
I agree, the 744 will move at 3k, if not here, than ebay. I think the V3 would sit for a bit at 850, a couple have moved around 750-800 range though depending on various fixes, mods, shipping, etc.
No idea on the codetalkers rig or the neumanns, sorry.

Rick,
The Alesis HD 24 between $550-$850 without extra caddies. I have seen go as low as 500-550 recently and they were in great condition. Weird market on ebay for them, I guessw you have to catch the right people. Seems the HD-24XR(24/96 version) are the ones commanding more money. I might be interested in the unit an/or the extra caddies, splitter snake and who knows maybe the presonous.

Ironic, knowing Rick's previous cars and having borrowed his ticket lawyer.
Rick takes good care of his gear, snatch it up.
Best of luck moving the gear, hope the trim down is stress-free and best of luck with the new turn. The second set is always where it's at.

Getting ready to put this up in Yard Sale I guess...
Getting the 170's stuff together...

Best of luck Rick!

If the 170's are a kit (in the flight case, etc) you can probably make a little bit more, from the what I have seen over the years on ebay the 170's sell for about 20% more than u89's. but prices are all over the place and are based on condition, etc.
-
Really? 20% more? Sounds about right to me too tho!

MSRP (B&H, etc.) is $6,999, in case with shocks.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/540270-REG/Neumann_TLM_170_R_MT_STEREO_TLM170_Stereo_Matched_Pair.html
Funny thing is - "matched pair" is a misnomer. Most matched pair sets of mics, have the response charts with them. According to Sennheiser (who owns Neumann, or markets them here, or something), the 170's are manufactured to such close tolerances, that they DON'T include the response charts "because we don't need to". Based on the reputation of these mics, I don't doubt that.
Throw in a pair of Neumann Windscreens and Canare L-4E6S "Oade Built" cables in the deal.
I'm thinking, due to their mint condition (not a ding or scratch anywhere on them - never dropped, always in Neumann bag with desiccant), the setup should be worth around $4,500...

That sounds fair :)
