Hi,
Has anyone run this configuration in a large venue with success? I see many threads about running DIN in smaller places, clubs, etc and is one of the preferred methods for the bluelines. I have heard a smokin tape with a modified DIN config of 70 degs, 20 cm separation (BCostigan's Worcester Centrum Phish 2-26-03 recording) and am wondering if there are any sources out there with a standard DIN config in a large venue.

When I say large venue I'm talking indoor arena's like Fleet Center, Worcester Centrum, Thomas and Mack, etc.

That get's a +T :)

Yes I do have the card caps too. Ran these at the Fleet Center Phish 12-2-03 and did not like the results. I plan on using those in ampitheatres and small venues with great acoustics, and outdoors till I get the omni's.

people sometimes prefer to run DINA with hypers

if DINA is 90 degs, 17 cm that's what I meant.
-
yup, that is the only way I ran the 39x series, DIN or DINA, I never liked the results of the other configs nearly as much

Sorry to ask so many questions, but what is DINA? I've heard of DIN, NOS, ORTF, etc. but never DINA. Is it just a slight modification of DIN? I'm getting some hyper caps (ck93) this week and planning to tape Kimock on Saturday, and I'm glad to hear some opinions on how to run the 393's.
As always, I thank you in advance, you guys are great and are really helping a newbie like myself!
peace,
Keith

DINA is 90 degrees, 17 cm.

Thanks on the DINA clarification. I have heard many say with the bluelines DIN, DINA is the way to go. I was just wondering if the standard configs work well in large venues.. +T to all.

I second that, thanks for the clarification, this will be very helpful with my new Bluelines.
+T to all, even though I can't ticket anyone yet! But I'm getting there...
