I've got a Manfrotto extension rod (099B) and a three-piece articulating arm (196). It looks like the 196 comes with two built-in spigots that slide into the slot in the Superclamp and can be held in place with the set screw, but that's probably not the approved way to do it :).
So, what parts do I need to attach these to the Superclamp? Any help appreciated, thank you.

Why wouldn't that work for the articulating arm? I've always done it this way.
for the 099B, I secure it to the superclamp stud - works like a charm. Do you have the stud?

Thanks, vanark. I believe I see it now.
The articulating arm attaches by one of its spigots, just like I've tried it.
And I've got the stud, the hexagonal piece with a 1/4" screw at the end. I just tried securing the stud to the bottom of the 099B, tightening it with the set screw, and then the stud slides into the clamp. Great!
Thanks again.

I've got the bigger 396 and thats what I do. Thats not the only way to run it, but it's the safest way.

I used the 196 + superclamp at Alpine Valley last weekend. Clamped to the SBD doohick. Perfect match.

My superclamp has a stud with threads on each side and doesn't fit my Manfrotto 099B. Can some one link a stud that works with the Manfrotto extension pole?? TIA
Edit: I modified my stud by taking off the 1/4 thread and it fits like a glove now!!

I ordered my Superclamp with a stud with a single 1/4" screw thread at the end that fits into the 099B, as advised above. It's a Manfrotto part that you can get from B&H, etc.
