Does anyone know if you can tape with the Archos 20 GB USB 2.0 MP3 Jukebox Recorder ?  Pros/cons?

I have no idea, you could probably find out definitely at the Archos website...  There is tons of info there about the unti you ask as well as the GMINI.  They probably can answer your specific questions better than anybody here could.

But for our purposes, the GMINI was the one with the most potential...  And it failed to pass muster.

The same hold true for the iRiver 120.  You can find about this unit by doing a advanced search on TS or going to the iRiver website.

The Nomad 3 is the only consumer-grade HD wav recorder that actually works correctly.  There is $#!+-loads of info on that device here.

No, the Jukebox Recorder v2 records MP3 only.
