Title: Good stealth mounts for SP-CMC-9 and CA-14
Post by: jackmw on July 17, 2012, 11:02:43 PM
I gather it's somewhat verboten to talk about stealth setups in public forums, so email or PM is fine with me. Does anyone have experience with good stealth mounts for the SP-CMC-9s and the Church CA-14s (e.g. croakies, hats, etc)?

Also, any recommendations for "mounting" your recorder on your body if you don't want it just sitting in your pocket, bag, or whatever?

Thanks kindly, I appreciate the help

I use the SP-CMC-2 and what I do is use some medical tape and tape the mics to where my shirt rests on my shoulders, then run the cables down to my belt loop in the middle of my back then over to my pocket where I have my battery box and microtrack.  If it's a situation with security at the door, I'll coil the cable loosely around my neck (as if it's a necklace) then unfurl it in the bathroom.  Hats don't work well on my giant head, so I do it this way.
