Title: What kind of memory cards to use with a Marantz PMD 661?
Post by: Chad on July 18, 2012, 01:17:45 PM
I just got the recorder and it came with a 4GB Marantz Professional SDHC memory card. With the settings at 24 bit 96KHz the recorder itself says it can record 1 hour 59 seconds, but the manual says it can record 1 hour 52 minutes at the same settings. Anybody know which is more accurate? Can I use a higher capacity SDHC card in order to record longer? Are there any certain brands of SDHC cards that work best with the PMD 661?

Just get a large Sandisk and youll be fine. I had a 16GB card in my PMD661 that I used without issues. Just format it in the unit.
