If I were to run AKG 480 + SBD > Oade wmod UA-5 > Oade wmod PMD 661 could I still record in 24/48 or 24/96? The UA-5 only does 16/44.1 or 16/48 right?
-
I dont think it really does 16 bits

bingo. If you've got a unit that is based on the typical digi-mod setup then that 16/24bit switch doesn't do anything. It's pumping out 24 either way.

I don't see a 16/24 switch on the UA-5 Does it matter what sample rate I choose on the UA-5? I'm thinking leave it on 48kHz right?
-
there is a switch on the front where 24 bit is selected when you want 48 or 96 khz. If you want 96, trip the ADV switch on the back. Also make sure the 661 is set to the same sample/bit rate and yer good to go! The ua5 sends always a 24bit signal, but it is still best to have your recorder match. have phun

I want make sure I got this right.
Turn the front knob to 96kHz REC and ADV switch on the back to the ON position.
