Title: wireless freq B vs C
Post by: willndmb on July 25, 2012, 12:21:59 PM
hi guys sorry if this isn't the right place since its not actually taping related
we have a sennheiser wireless mic that runs on freq range "C" 742.5-744.5 MHz
it works great and we want another
however all the new ones run on freq "B" - here is a quote from the site - Default Band "B" TVCH 50-51, 691.000-693.000MHz

is that going to cause me any trouble or is there anything I should be aware/concerned with??
thanks

...Specifically

The FCC is prohibiting the use effective June 12, 2010 of wireless microphones in the USA that operate on frequencies between 698 and 806 MHz, which is also known as the 700 MHz Band.

Blocks 27, 28 and 29 fall in the 700 MHz Band.
