Looks nice, but only goes up to 143cm and has a ¼" camera thread instead of a 3/8" mic. thread.

Looks like a nice monopod/FOB stand.

That's why I said "handy at times" but I can see it useful with an adapter at seated shows. It might suit some of the folks who use a small recorder with its built in mics.

Could also be handy the rest of the time for battering unruly wooks about the face and head. ;D

BTW, I have been shocked by one of these. It will get your attention! Leaves a mark too.

Don't taze me, bro...

Tazed myself. My father had a side business in vet supplies and kept his stock in the back of his drug store. I was putting away a box of financial records on the top shelf and had to climb the shelving to do it. When I leaned in to push the box onto the shelf I leaned against the cattle prod that somebody had been playing with and left charged. Knocked me off the shelves onto the floor!

Never been prodded, but grew up in farm land. As a lad, I accidentally rubbed up against electric fence more than a few times while playing/mowing the lawn bare-chested and drenched in sweat (IE: coated in an electrolytic liquid). That shit will knock the piss out of you. Literally.
