(Yet Another UA-5 Question.)
I am almost a 100 percent comfortable spending for a w-mod, but really felt this question needed to be asked and the answers collected into 1 thread: Has anyone had serious problems with the ua-5 in general, and if so what.?

not yet, i ran it for the first time last night and worked well. fwiw- ran it into spark in panther

The Windows drivers can sometimes be a PITA, especially when it comes to buffering. If your machine's fast enough then this becomes less of an issue.
No idea about Mac tho.

Nothing but good so far. I will probably get larger battery than 1600mah though.

Hehe...I got suckered into this thread thinking the "YAUA-5Q" was some great new piece of gear. :)

I just got a wmod ua-5 for my very first preamp, and let's just say it's the shit, could not be any happier.

i know laptop users had some driver problems but that was minimal. i used it for almost a whole year with a dat and did not have one single problem whatsoever. fantastic piece of gear no doubt.
