Title: iphone's as recording/streaming gear

I have never owned an iphone, but I have a few questions....


I know apogee makes some kind of digital input connector to the Iphone/pad/pod pin connector. 

is this stereo?  trs or spdif...?

can you run logic pro with an iphone?

I sent an e-mail to Tascam asking if it records 4 channels, since it has two stereo inputs.  The spec's do not mention 4 channels.


I looked up the AD converter, it is 2 channels (for consumer products).

However, it looks like you can purchase 192khz AD converter chips and a 4 channel AD chips... $2.64 for 5 (China).


Wow.  modifcations anyone?
