Title: Sound Devices 664 Pictures

i had the chance to go to a 664 demo today. i wrote up a quick dirty post about it on my site. I dont think a lot of tapers will be interested because of the limitation of 48k.

It worked for me, in the US.  Didn't know the 664 took pictures  ;D  Thanks for posting, the 48 KHz sampling rate limitation could be a deal breaker for many but nice unit.

Sometime my blog just has issues loading. Godaddy shared hosting sucks! I would try again later to see if it works.


Maybe we will see a 666 pix recorder from SD next year! SD still claims to be a audio company. we will see if they release more audio centric products in the next year. In the mean time Zaxcom has released the Maxx and Nomad Lite recorders. I am not sure about SR limits with those decks because i honestly haven't looked yet. but it seems Zaxcom is turning up the heat.
