Title: Mount the mics in a hat/cap
Post by: paxhell on October 11, 2012, 12:33:03 PM
Can anyone tell me how to mount CA14 mics with permanent clips in a hat/cap (going for stealth recording), what hat/cap is recomended and how to hide them, I understand I must do some hole somewhere  ;D anyone have pictures to PM me?
I use to mount them in my collar but if I put them in a hat it will give me more clear sound I guess.

EDIT:thanks for the PM and help!

People aren't going to be too keen on posting their methods here, as I think many are paranoid that venue security reads this site (which may be true).

Personally I use a trucker style ball cap. No additional holes required as it already has holes.

Use your imagination. I came up my personal technique by trial and error. It was fun.

Thanks, I didn't expect people to post it here, but as I wrote, a PM will be fine. Anyway, I think I know what kind of cap to buy now.

I use CA-14s and am happy to discuss if you want to send me a PM.
