Title: Sony PCM M10 with Naiant X-X microphones for binaural recording?
Post by: waloshin on December 03, 2012, 01:34:15 PM
Sony PCM M10 with Naiant X-X microphones for recording nature in stereo? How would this setup sound? Are there better options?

Edit:

Or would the Church Audio CA-10 be better?

I'm confused.  The specs on the X-X now say "dual capsules (matched) to stereo miniplug for portable recorder plug-in power microphone input (+3V minimum recommended)"

Does this now mean the X-X/miniplug terminated mics will run on PIP from the M10 or is a 9v battery box required for the X-X miniplug terminated version to work?

I got mine configured to a stereo mini plug.  Possibly that wasn't an option when Jon replied last December.  Excellent mics for the low cost, though.

Then it's a good thing to update this thread so folks will know that the X-X is a broader option to consider.
