Hi all,
Have a DPA ORFT/XY bar and I broke one of the black rubber straps that hold the mics in the bar. Does anyone have a good idea for a replacement for the straps? Never seen DPA sell them and not sure how much they would cost?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Pretty sure if you give em a call they will just send you a couple, They are very cool there, years ago, i needed a new chart for a 4021 and they got me one from the "homeland" and mailed it to me at no cost

If they don't send them to you they will at least tell you the dimensions so you can go buy them at a local hardware store. All they are are rubber gaskets.

Yeah, check out your local Ace. They have a nice rubber o-ring section and many different sizes / gauges. I'm assuming that's all they are.

That is exactly what they are. I contact DPA in Colorado a few years ago and the price they wanted was ridiculous and they told me they are just rubber o-rings. They also told me the diameter and the thickness, which I have since forgotten.

Same thing happened to me, went to auto parts store a try a bunch o-rings they have, works fine.

They even make HQ rubber hair ties that work too. Local rite aid would have them. But as everyone suggested, I would go to the local hardware store first!

How do the mics sound in that ORTF set up? I've always run the 4023s with NOLA bars.

Called DPA. They sell 4 packs for 7 dollars - part number is DDS0547 - Rubber Suspension for ORFT bar.

^ Lowes plumbing isle... O rings #13 seem like they will work. $2.47/10 ::)
I got my bands for my schoeps A20S shocks for $5 for 18 at RiteAid

pretty sure orthodontic bands would work perfectly. and they're pretty much free by the bag.
