Hi all, just curious what kind of windscreens I would need to fit my newly received Busman BSC1 mics? I usually tape shows indoors at clubs/bars, and theatres, although I will be outside during festival season.
Is there any reason to use windscreens indoors, unless there is air conditioning or something that comes into play? I have run the mics "naked" a couple of times in small music clubs with great results.
Thanks for any recommendations on windscreens both regular, and even heavy duty for extra windy conditions.

For extra windy conditions most people use the "Big Ass Shure" windscreens:

I have run those while having to physically hold down my stand to keep it from blowing over (when it was taped down)...no wind noise.
They will work fine inside. Only time I use them inside is if it's smokey (which is more frequent now in Colorado for some reason) or if I'm forced to set up under a vent.

DPA UA0896 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/282432-REG/DPA_Microphones_UA0896_UA0896_Windscreen_for_0_75.html) will work too.
tbrown4 can make up dead muppets for them. http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=137563.0
This combo is not as effective as the big Shures but they are smaller.
Edit for correction to DPA link.

I use screens indoors for 3 main reasons:
1. Smoke
2. Air Conditioning
3. If the stand were EVER to fall down, my mics would be more protected than just hitting the ground WITHOUT the screens ;)

These cheap AT windscreens are what I use on my MBHOs and ATs indoors (Schoeps B5D do not fit them): http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AT4041WS Much lower-profile than the other recs and fine for indoors.
Schoeps B5s or knockoff versions of them would also fit. The B5D doesn't fit because of the hard basket inside.

I second the Shures. I also have a DPA pair that I use, although I don't think they are the same ones DigiGal linked to.

Thanks Marshall, I had linked the wrong DPA Windscreens, the link above is now corrected. These are probably the ones you have, they fit so many SDC's.

Yes, those are the DPA's I have. Generally I use them indoors and the Shures outdoors.
