"Its true XY stereo pattern lets you record exactly what you hear.."

"At the heart of the iXY is a matched pair of ½” cardioid condenser capsules, fixed in a perfect 90 degree ‘near-coincident’ alignment".

..so near-coincident as to be as effectively truely coincident, and appropriately named iXY, not i-near-coincident.   :P

Capable of 24/96 but this product could benefit from a lightning connector (the new/current standard) and an external input would be nice.

If these two features were included perhaps it could be used as a backup recorder.

I guess all these tascam>iphone PLF recordings have proven that the iphone battery is capable of lasting ~3 hours in record mode? I wouldn't trust my iphone to do that. :P

I used a Blue Mikey a few times and was shocked at how little battery it used--maybe 10-15% per hour in 16-bit.

Yes, it's out of date even before it's launched.

But otherwise it looks great.
