Title: CK930 caps 15dB off - Beyerdynamic repair service?
Post by: sunjan on January 10, 2013, 07:17:33 AM
Hi all,
My Beyer caps used to work fine, but when running these with my Tinybox recently, they are about 15dB off or so.
I checked the pad switches, and they were both set correctly.
At the moment, I can run them with -10dB pad on one cap to produce roughly even levels.
But I'd like to have a professional check these.
Since I'm going to Germany soon, my idea was to send it straight to the official repair service of Beyer:
http://www.beyerdynamic.de/service/reparaturen.html

Did anybody try them?
Other advice?

I realize I should probably post this in the Beyer team thread, sorry for that.

I swore the pads were 15db (the 125spl vs 140spl).

What happens if you switch caps (so your left is now on the right and vice versa)?
