Title: Need quick r44 battery answer... About to head out & record.

I need a quick answer. How long will the r44 record on internal AA's I forgot my power cable & am stuck running internals. Regular Duracell AA's

Haven't ran internals since I bought it years ago.

I've always used external batteries but I think I remember hearing you can get about 2 hours off of the internals.  Not sure if that was with phantom power on or off though.  I would change them after each set to be safe.

From when I used to run my R-44 exclusively off internals, I seem to remember getting 3.5 to 4 hours running a single phantom pair of 414's.  I'd think you'd get around 2 hours if you were running 4 channels with phantom.  Anyway, as I posted in the other thread, my experience is here.  YMMV. > http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=153957.msg2001195#msg2001195 (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=153957.msg2001195#msg2001195)
